As stated in the last post this magazine issue's circulation of 313,286 is 3844 issues lower then its last issue (317,130). This is part of a gradual decline in circulation that the magazine has been experiencing since July 2013, which had a circulation of 335,797. As stated previously way back in November 2003 its circulation was 313,400. So the current issue actually has a lower circulation then in the November 2003 issue. Where is all the money going?
I found myself taken aback with the photo of the Palestinian militant on the Contents page. You can tell by the head band he wears that he is with the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, which is a Marxist-Leninist and leftist political party among the Palestinians. It is classified as a terrorist organization by the United States, Canada and the European Union. Infamously they conducted various airplane hijackings in the 1960s and 1970s, some of which led to fatalities. In all likelihood that man is quite secular in his political views. He has taken up arms against the State of Israel but he is no Islamic fundamentalist. Considering how PCG's writers usually talk about Fatah and Hamas I am surprised they picked a photo of a man from another organization. I wonder if PCG's writers and their readers will pick up on that detail.
Gerald Flurry has an article saying the world is falling apart. He uses recent events and some statement by former US Ambassador to the UN John Bolton to say the Great Tribulation is just about to occur, as he and his predecessors have been ceaselessly saying since the 1930s.
Stephen Flurry has an article bemoaning how despite the various crises people seem so relaxed about it. Maybe that is because you are lucky enough to not be living in a war zone.
Daryl Hochstetler has an accompanying side article bemoaning that Americans are not paying attention to current events. He accuses them of watching too many movies.
Jeremiah Jacques has a little article talking about a mobile library in rural Mongolia in order to say that giving is good and morally rewarding as well.
Jeremiah Jacques also has an article encouraging physical exercise. Also describes a session of exercise led by Joel Hilliker.
Richard Palmer (he who belittled the Srebrenica Massacre as just "a crime of passion") has an article discussing the recently revealed mass sexual abuse of children in Rotherham. He also exploits this frightful situation to condemn multiculturalism.
Stephen Flurry has an article fear mongering about Islamic extremists from Britain. Those terrorists in Iraq and Syria quite likely chose a British accented collaborator precisely because they knew small minded persons like Stephen Flurry would tell people to be scared. (He does not even live in Britain.) Nowhere in this article does he mention the fact that the vast majority of Muslims including in Britain hate this so-called "Islamic State".
Pages 18-19 contain depictions of the vastness and complexity of the galaxies in the universe.
Gerald Flurry has an article saying the recent unrest in Ferguson is evidence that race relations will descend into an orgy of violence and destruction. Armstrongism has long spread fearful proclamations that whites in America will be subjected to persecution by racial minorities. It reminds me of a certain Joel Hilliker article of that sort. It is just xenophobic nonsense.
There is a "Bible Correspondent Course" lesson (so-called) saying that Lucifer was given control of the Earth but he corrupted himself becoming Satan and that is why bad things happen because we now live in Satan's world. This doctrine is inherited from HWA. It is elsewhere taught by PCG that God can only be reached by joining PCG and following "God's man", who they say is Gerald Flurry. (It also features an uncredited Basil Wolverton illustration of Adam and Eve fleeing from the Garden of Eden after their sin.)
Joel Hilliker has a little article extolling the way of giving and encouraging readers to apply this in their family relations. Maybe PCG ministers like him should tell their members it is fine to associate with the so-called "Laodiceans".
Richard Palmer (he who also said farmers must keep the land fallow every seven years) also has a little article insisting that the entire universe was made to be ruled by humanity after being transformed into immortal God beings. It promotes the God Family doctrine which is complete nonsense as may be seen here, here and here.
Newswatch has some little news articles. One insinuates Pakistan will become a puppet of Iran. Another says Iran is arming itself in the Strait of Hormuz. Imagine that, Iran is arming to defend its own borders, just like every other nation. Another talks about the murderous Boko Haram. Another tries to imagine the Pope and the so-called "Islamic State" as mortal enemies. Never mind the so-called "Islamic State" is much more busy building up their blood stained empire by fighting Iraq, the Free Syrians, the Kurds and the murderous Assad regime. Another fear mongers about earthquakes. Another fear mongers that Asian countries are catching up to the US's military might.
Societywatch has an article about rising food prices. Another article fear mongering about unauthorized immigration.
And sickeningly it also has an article talking about suicide. Considering the recent tragedy that occurred within PCG they are highly unqualified to talk about this serious issue as they have recently.
