Introducing Jeremiah Jacques' Radio Show for PCG

PCG's radio, KPCG, has unveiled another radio show for their listeners hosted by anti-Japan scare monger Jeremiah Jacques entitled The Sun Also Rises. The first episode was broadcast March 17, 2016.

Jacques says the title comes from Ecclesiastes and not the Ernest Hemingway novel.

The first half of the broadcast featured Jacques telling the story of a man in India who with great determination dug up a road through a mountain for twenty years so that his village would have easier access to the outside after his wife tragically died in an accident on the mountain. He had mentioned this story in a recent article of his.

At point it is mentioned how this man's wife died because medical assistance had a hard time reaching her because of the difficulty in reaching the village. This is rightfully portrayed as a terrible misfortune. But PCG and Armstrongism has a long and shameful history of promoting HWA's anti-medicine superstition.

Jeremiah Jacques' boss, Gerald Flurry, even wrote the following horrifying words glorifying WCG and PCG members who choose to refuse to take necessary medical treatment and die as a direct result of HWA's anti-medicine superstition.
This is REAL, ABUNDANT LIVINGEVEN IF WE ARE DYING PHYSICALLY! Over the years in my ministry, I have seen a few people physically rot right before my eyes and yet remain loyal to God every step of the way to the end! Though it must be one of the most grotesque sights to see, at the same time it is one of the MOST MAJESTICALLY NOBLE examples ever on Earth, from God’s point of view! If someone is being loyal in circumstances like that, he or she is BEARING WITNESS OF THE FATHER! What a precious, extraordinary beauty that is! I know I will see those people again, and they will live FOREVER AND EVER! When resurrected, they won’t remember that trial for very long. They will have ETERNAL LIFE!

Are you prepared to trust God to heal you, now or in the resurrection? Well done, good and faithful servant, He will say if we trust Him to the end. (Gerald Flurry, The Last Hour, 2004, 2007, Chapter 5, p. 54.)
Those listening to this radio show unfamiliar with the history of Armstrongism will have no idea about this very disturbing aspect of the organization producing this radio show.

The second half of the broadcast Jacques discusses how he was born into WCG. He joined PCG in 1998 and but held up from getting into PCG because he smoked tobacco. HWA's WCG had this non-biblical tradition of refusing to let to people who smoked tobacco from joining the organization. Those who smaked tobacco were ordered to quit the addiction before even entering the congregation.

He related one story about a man who had difficulty quitting the addiction to tobacco. I did not think mentioning that story would be helpful for those struggling to free themselves from tobacco.

He implied that (PCG's) God helped him to quit tobacco. The vast majority of those who quit tobacco had nothing to do with PCG. Those who wish to quit tobacco need help not this manipulative advertising that insinuates that PCG can somehow make people quit tobacco. This radio broadcast seeks to free people from tobacco by making them join PCG and pay three tithes to PCG. It is frightening to imagine a person looking for help getting caught up into PCG in this manner.

This seems to be an attempt by PCG to make a feel good, human interest radio show. Too bad it is well known that PCG has a reputation for authoritarian behavior.
