Overview of the March-April 2016 Issue of Tomorrow's World

The latest issue of LCG's recruitment magazine, Tomorrow's World, is now out. Let us see what LCG's leaders have to say to try and convince people to join LCG (and pay three tithes and extra offerings to them while in LCG).

This issue claims a circulation of 539,000.

Roderick C. Meredith has a personal article calling upon people to study the Bible (according to LCG's interpretation).

Roderick C. Meredith also has an article telling his readers that the only hope to be had regarding the many problems facing society today is to have hope that soon Christ will return to establish a world government that will create peace and prosperity for everyone.

The Q and A condemns Easter reinforcing HWA's ban on Easter.

Michael Heykoop has an article discussing the current border disputes regarding the Arctic Ocean concerning Canada, the United States, Russia and other nations.

Richard Ames has an article assuring readers that many who had no contact with WCG or LCG will be resurrected in the Great White Throne Judgment to be given a chance to be saved then after the Millennium.

Adam West has an article discussing William Shakespeare. He mentions the Armstrongite claim that language will be purified during the Millennium.

John Meakin has an article discussing the refugee crisis in Europe. The crisis is exploited to insinuate that it will prompt Europe to unite itself into a military power fated to violently conquer the United States.
In his September 2015 State of the Union Address, EU Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker made farsighted and wide-ranging comments about the future direction and performance of the EU. He called for more politics, more Europe and more Union. He called for much more reform, faster progress on many fronts, and better management—particularly of the migrant crisis. Measures for a stronger single currency, a more competitive economy, a stronger presence in the world, and a fair deal for the UK were all highlighted. Widely anticipated, but being held under wraps until 2017, are as yet little-publicized EU plans for a major treaty provision defining an inner core of nations happy with the idea of a federal Europe, and an outer fringe of nations with a looser arrangement. Europe is changing fast and the migrant crisis has begun to act as a major catalyst for such change. (p. 22.)
(Meanwhile just as many refugees fled into Lebanon.)

Meakin mentions Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi's murderous lackeys (ISIL/IS) in relation to the current refugee crisis but incorrectly states it was established in 2013.
In 2013, jihadi groups formed the extreme Sunni Islamic State (IS) and established an Islamist caliphate in northern Syria stretching into Iraq. This greatly added to the violence, repression and to people's fears. (p. 21.)
This is incorrect. It was not established in 2013. It is a continuation of Al Qaeda in Iraq. May ISIL soon fall.

Phil Sena has an article encouraging young people to associate with good friends.

Wallace Smith has an article calling upon people not to observe Easter. HWA banned his followers from observing Easter and LCG continues to promote this socially isolating doctrine.

Douglas Winnail has an article praising the first five books of the Old Testament which are exploited by LCG to tell people they must join LCG.

There are letters. Here is one letter from South Dakota.
I took my new Tomorrow’s World out of the mailbox and saw what I was looking for. Is there an unpardonable sin? I rushed home to read it twice with tears. I was certain the living God would destroy me. At the same time I could not find fault with God for my sins. It’s taken me years to learn. Thank you for the knowledge. May God bless you all.
Such comforting words are used to convince people to join LCG and pay three tithes to them.

Here is an excerpt of one letter from Australia.
Thank you so much for your continued generosity in forwarding this magazine of prophecy. You help me make sense of the world I am living in and I am truly grateful. There is no way I will be part of “Babylon the Great.”
But this doctrine is used to isolate potential members from mainstream society to render them socially dependent on the group.

Here is one letter from Florida.
I have to stop between sessions studying my Tomorrow’s World Bible Study Course to say thank you for the free course and all the free literature. If I didn’t receive it I sure would be in the dark. I did not know we had the Kingdom of God to look forward to. I’m also learning about the Feast days, which I knew nothing about. Now I’m learning the truth. It’s like seeing the scriptures for the first time since I’ve become acquainted with Tomorrow’s World. Thank you again for the time and literature for reaching people like me. This Tomorrow’s World is a true gift from our Savior Jesus Christ.
Here is one letter from Texas thanking LCG for supposedly providing evidence that Number 19 foresaw modern medical practices of sterilization.
I particularly appreciate your mention of the biblical instruction to use running water for cleansing purposes, referencing Numbers 19. It wasn’t until the 18th or 19th century that surgeons figured out they needed to wash their hands in running water instead of merely a basin to avoid the spread of bacteria and disease, but here it has been in God’s Word all along for thousands of years if we would only read and heed!
It is unfortunate to see that such simple statements can be used to gain the trust and respect of readers who in all likelihood are unaware of what LCG is like.

Beware, those elaborate doctrines are there to convince the potential recruit to trust LCG's leaders and then submit under the authority of LCG's leaders. One of the requirements of being in LCG is to pay three tithes and extra offerings to them for the rest of one's life or at least while one remains within LCG.
